What to Expect During a Professional Hood Vent Cleaning

Before We Arrive

We schedule most cleanings during off-hours (nights, early mornings, or closed days) to avoid disrupting your kitchen operations. Make sure all cooking equipment is turned off and cooled down before our arrival.

The Cleaning Process

  1. Preparation: We cover floors, equipment, and surfaces near the hood to protect from drips and splashes.
  2. Filter removal: Baffle filters are removed and cleaned in our hot tank or replaced with new filters.
  3. Hood cleaning: Interior and exterior of the hood is scraped and degreased.
  4. Ductwork access: We open access panels throughout the duct system and clean interior surfaces.
  5. Fan service: Rooftop exhaust fans are hinged open, cleaned, and inspected.
  6. Documentation: Before-and-after photos are taken for your records and fire inspection files.

After Cleaning

We clean up all work areas, replace access panels, reinstall filters, and leave your kitchen ready for the next shift. You'll receive a cleaning certificate for your records.
